TOWARDS CARBON NEUTRALITY
Sustainable Fuels & Chemicals Laboratory | ChanonLab
ABOUT US
The ChanonLab at Chulalongkorn University focuses on developing solar-driven Power-to-X (P2X) systems for the sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. Our research integrates materials, catalysis, and system design to convert sunlight, water, carbon dioxide, and waste-derived feedstocks into energy carriers such as hydrogen, ammonia, and value-added chemicals. By advancing hybrid solar, electrochemical, and thermally coupled processes, we aim to enable scalable and resource-efficient solutions that address challenges across the energy, water, and carbon nexus.

RESEARCH FOCUSES

COMPLEMENTARY SOLAR FUELS APPROACHES
We are actively seeking innovative ways to enhance the efficiency and economic viability of solar and other renewable energy conversion. These approaches involve the active combination of various technologies and materials to optimize the capture and conversion of solar energy, thereby maximizing solar utilization.
PROTOTYPING
We actively engage in prototyping to translate innovative ideas and research findings into tangible solutions. Our goal is to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, utilizing prototypes as tools for testing and refining novel technologies. Through the active incorporation of prototyping into our research process, we expedite the development and deployment of sustainable energy solutions, ultimately contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
